He invited other presidential candidates to his annual winter meeting earlier this month. Trump did not end up making a personal appearance at the event, which took place the same week as the Capitol riot.
It has not yet been decided where in Palm Beach the donor retreat will take place in April. But those who know the planning say that it will not be in Mar-a-Lago.
The retreat usually attracts a number of donors from major parties. The committee also decided, years ago, to conduct its spring confabulation in Palm Beach.
