Registration begins at noon on Thursday, January 21, for six more coronavirus vaccination clinics in Riverside County.
Having received 26,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week, county officials plan to distribute 3,900 of these doses through clinics in Perris, Lake Elsinore and Indio to residents of Phase 1A (all levels) and 1B (level 1), which includes any person aged 65 and older. The rest of the 26,000 doses are being distributed to private providers, county spokeswoman Brooke Federico said.
Dates and locations are:
- Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23, at The Diamond stadium, 500 Diamond Drive, Lake Elsinore. Friday’s clinic is only for people over 65.
- Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25, at the Perris trade fair, 18700 Lake Perris Drive. Monday’s clinic is only for people over 65.
- Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24, at the Fullenwider Auditorium at Indio Fairgrounds, 46350 Arabia St.
The clinics will be open from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
Appointments can be made online at www.ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine. Those 65 and older who need help registering can call 211.
Vaccines will be provided free of charge, but vaccinees must make an appointment and register before arriving. They must also provide proof of eligibility – a work badge, business ID or a letter of proof from their employer – and health insurance information will be requested, but not required. Those over 65 must bring proof of age, such as driver’s license.
Editor’s note: This story has been updated to clarify how the 26,000 doses of the vaccine received by Riverside County this week are being distributed. Those not being administered at the six county clinics are being distributed to private providers, county spokeswoman Brooke Federico said.
