A storm pouring large amounts of rain on the Central Coast is flooding roads across the region, forcing many to close.
In San Luis Obispo, San Luis Bay Dr. is closed from Highway 101 to Monte Rd. However, some drivers have pushed their way through the rising waters.

The closing started just before 8 am on Thursday morning.
Just to the south, the floodwaters also closed the main roads in the Santa Maria-Guadalupe area.
Near Orcutt, Caltrans closed Highway 1 between Solomon Road. and Black Rd. This closure can last most of the day.
