Riot reveals new Space Groove skins for League, including Samira and Nunu

Disco Nunu is back on the Rift and has brought some friends to an out-of-this-world party.

Riot introduced the League of Legends champions that will be decorating the new line of Space Groove skins, each wearing animations and intergalactic clothes in the style of the 80s. This skin line seems to be being launched in two waves, with eight confirmed skins for Nunu and Willump, Nasus, Rumble, Lux, Samira, Blitzcrank, Lulu (with a Prestige edition) and the next undisclosed AP top lane fighter.

Nunu, Rumble and Lulu have adopted new alien-like appearances that make them look like they’re ready to break on the dance floor – complete with flashy psychedelic neon colors and futuristic machine parts. Lulu will be the recipient of the Prestige Edition skin for this event, giving her some cool new golden tones.

But it’s not just the aliens making their debut in this space-themed line of skins. Blitzcrank and Nasus are now ships controlled by a cat and a dog, respectively. These furry friends meow and bark when their skills are used and even go out to play with their robotic bodies in their recall animations.

Lux and Samira look like interstellar pop idols from the crazy world of Sega Space Channel 5. Their skills have been completely transformed to show the powers of the cosmic dance that they have gained, with little alien friends joining them to cheer for them. And, as with many turns on skin lines, your weapons are actually just cute little aliens, too.

The eighth skin of the Space Groove line has not yet been officially revealed, but it will probably be announced along with the reveal of turns onthe next champion. Along with these skins will be the Space Groove event, which will feature the return of one for everyone and a new battle pass for players to purchase.

Players can expect to experience new cosmic vibes when Space Groove skins are released this spring.
