Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 leaks with ‘3D motion detection’

The Amazon ring has so many different video bells on the market that it’s getting difficult to control, but one of them is apparently about to have a big bump with some new features: The Ring Wi-Fi Pro 2 video bell has just leaked a list at Best Buy Canada, as identified by ZatzNotFunny.

It appears to be a direct successor to the high-end Ring Video Doorbell Pro, with the same CA $ 325 (about US $ 250 dollars), but also the first Ring to transmit video resolution above 1080p, with 1536p “head to toe expanded view “That” allows you to clearly see who is at your door. ”This means that Amazon is reaching the field of view and resolution that Arlo’s video bell launched in late 2019.

The new bell on the right appears to be shorter and wider, but with the same design.

As the owner of Ring Video Doorbell Pro, that would have been a desirable feature: I had to tilt my bell down with two different additional supports so that I could actually see the packages being delivered on my balcony. But I’m more intrigued by the mention of “3D motion detection”, which sounds like something a ringing bell could use to say when someone is standing right in front of it – and perhaps lessen the buzz of false positives on my phone.

Here is the rest of Best Buy’s product description:

You’ll also notice that it comes with Alexa greetings – something that Ring brought to the original Video Doorbell Pro the other day. Note that, unlike most other ring bells, Pro models generally do not have replaceable batteries as an option; you have to connect them to a powerful bell transformer, which you may or may not already have in your home. In January, Ring also added a $ 60 wired model, the cheapest yet.

The Best Buy page suggests it may be available on March 31, although you should always consider the release dates on the front pages of products with caution.
