Ring leaking Pro 2 video bell can offer higher resolution

Ring is apparently preparing to launch the second generation version of its top-of-the-line Pro video doorbell, based on a list that was published in Best Buy Canada. This list has already been removed, but not before Zatz is not funny! was able to take screenshots with the features observed on the page. It looks like Ring WiFi Video Doorbell Pro 2 will have a video resolution of 1,536p for “Head-to-toe expanded view” to make it easier to see who’s at the door and if there’s a package waiting for you at your door.

As the publication notes, this means that the model could be a direct competitor to Arlo’s Essential Video Doorbell, which has a resolution of 1,536 x 1,536 and an optimized viewing angle for viewing visitors from head to toe or packaging on the floor. The Pro 2 also features two-way conversation and quick responses, as well as 3D motion detection that can detect movements in the surroundings. Its product page, now deleted, listed the device for CA $ 325 (US $ 256), which is equivalent to the price of the first Pro bell. The page also showed a March 31 launch date, but it could also be just a replacement date.
