Simmons is not the only real housewife to contract the virus, as several others scaled up from various media franchise programs have been infected in the past.

In July, Shannon Beador, who appears in the program’s iteration in Orange County, announced that she had contracted the coronavirus, along with her daughters.

Several members of the Beverly Hills version of the program have recently undergone treatment for the disease, including Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley and Kathy Hilton.

Richards recently posted on his Instagram detailing how she and her sister finally overcame the effects of the virus after weeks of various illnesses.

In November, production on the program’s Atlanta iteration ended after a team member began to experience characteristic symptoms of COVID-19.

A month earlier, filming for the New York version was interrupted for the same reason; none of the housewives tested positive for the virus.
