Breaking news
‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ star D’Andra Simmons he is bedridden in a hospital because of COVID-19 – the first cast member of Bravo’s shows who became ill.
Simmons’ condition was first announced by the podcast presenter Kate Casey, which says … “I just heard from D’Andra and she is asking for your prayers. She is in the hospital and struggling.”
A representative of D’Andra confirmed that she is in bad shape.

The representative said D’Andra was admitted to the COVID ward at UT Southwestern Hospital. It is unclear when she contracted the virus, or how long she has been in the hospital … but her team says her oxygen levels are over the limit, and she is starting to remive.
This is one of the antiviral drugs President Trump received when he started taking COVID – part of the cocktail of therapies that he says helped him recover quickly.
Simmons’ diagnosis and health status are noteworthy – since she appears to be the only ‘real housewife’ who needed to be checked and treated for the coronavirus. Others had – including ‘RHOBH’ stars Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Dorit Kemsley, but none required hospitalization.
As we reported … Bravo’s production teams took several measures to help keep the different sets of ‘Housewives’ as safe as possible. They are demanding masks on everyone who is not on camera, they are doing temperature checks, they are mainly filming outdoors … and everyone is encouraged to spread out. Still, despite that, some stars and others on the set realized.
As for D’Andra … she has been a milestone in the series’ iteration in Dallas for years, and fans love her. Get well soon!
