Update: Bethesda confirmed on Twitter that she will have more to share about DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part 2 in just over a week, on March 15th. At this point, a new teaser trailer will be airing. The publisher also shared the new key art that leaked earlier in the day.

The original story can be found below.

There has been a lot of activity with DOOM Eternal and your next DLC The Ancient Gods – Part 2 last week. Just a few days ago, the achievements of the next expansion appeared on Steam, indicating that some kind of release seemed imminent. Now, Bethesda has accidentally leaked some new art and screenshots of the game on its official website, making its arrival seem even closer.

Warning: some small spoilers for DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods could be present below. Read at your own risk.

At the Bethesda store today, a new list of DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part 2 appeared briefly and with it came a series of new looks for the DLC. Perhaps the most notable thing about this leak comes in the form of a new key piece of art for the second part of the expansion. The art looks like the Doom Slayer facing a new enemy dressed in armor who is wielding a sword. On the other hand, the Doom Slayer has a huge hammer in its own hands, which is quite remarkable. At this point, a type of hammer weapon did not appear in DOOM Eternal, which seems to tell us that this new beating tool will be given to players within The Ancient Gods – Part 2.

As for the screenshots, they mainly give us an idea of some of the places where The Ancient Gods – Part 2 will take players. The sites appear to be quite varied and include a dark fortress, a paradisiacal-looking monastery and an abandoned city that has been invaded by vegetation.

The only disadvantage is that, to date, there is no exact release date for DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part 2 was supplied or found within this leak. Once again, however, considering how much new information related to this DLC has been leaking in the past few days, it definitely looks like Bethesda and id Software are about to break their silence next week. A launch seems to be coming very soon based on everything we’ve learned in the past few days.

Whenever DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part 2 end up being released, those on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC will be able to catch it. The DLC is also planned to come to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, but no release for this iteration has been detailed yet.
