Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu looks amazing on Marvel vs. Capcom Art

Earlier this month, Capcom revealed Lady Dimitrescu, one of the main antagonists in Resident Evil Village. The character quickly became a hit with fans, inspiring cosplay, fan art and more. Artist @Countgate on Twitter joined the club with an incredible piece of pixel art designed to evoke Marvel vs. Capcom! In the image, Lady Dimitrescu can be seen doing a brief job with Gambit, preparing to end the X-Man with a clawed hand raised in the air. It’s a really cool piece that shows how well the character would fit into the fighting game franchise!

The art of @Countgate can be found below.

It’s really amazing how well the character looks in the style of classic Capcom arcade games! Just for art, it seems that Lady Dimitrescu would translate well as a 2D fighter. Of course, Dimitrescu would not be the first Resident Evil character to appear in the Marvel vs. Capcom, so it’s perfectly possible that it will end up in a future entry, if its popularity continues after the release of Resident Evil Village. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what comes next for the character!

Despite Dimitrescu’s immediate rise in popularity, Capcom hasn’t revealed much information about his character, yet. The villain will clearly be a problem for protagonist Ethan Winters, as well as his daughters; in Capcom’s recent Resident Evil Showcase, Dimitrescu’s daughters can be seen turning into locust pests that attack the player! Although the character is clearly in charge of that particular group, Mostra also revealed that Dimitrescu will respond to someone named Mother Miranda. It remains to be seen exactly who this figure is, but she must be quite intimidating if Lady Dimitrescu responds to her!

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. In the meantime, you can check out all of our previous coverage of the game here.
