Resident Evil Unofficial Remake gets new gameplay footage

An unofficial Resident Evil remake based on Resident Evil 4 is currently in development and new game images have been shared online.

The new footage, shared once again by Residence of Evil on YouTube, looks extremely good, with a very wise use of RE4 mechanics and features.

The next remake of RE that is supposed to be in development is the Resident Evil 4 Remake. This remake, which has not yet been announced, was originally in development by M-Two, but it was revealed earlier this year that the studio’s involvement has been significantly reduced. Development was essentially restarted, with the remake now in the hands of the series’ main development team. As a result, the remake is unlikely to be released until 2023.

Although this remake doesn’t see the light of day anytime soon, fans of the series have a lot to expect in the near future. Resident Evil Village, the series’ eighth major release, will be released in May for PC and consoles, and another new release in the series yet to be revealed, Resident Evil Outrage, is reportedly being released within a year of the Village launch.

Experience survival horror like never before in the eighth major installment in the historic franchise – Resident Evil Village.

A few years after the horrific events in the critically acclaimed RE7 biohazard, the new plot begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their previous nightmares. While they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.

• First-person action – players will take on the role of Ethan Winters and experience all the battles up close and terrifying chases from a first-person perspective.
• Familiar faces and new enemies – Chris Redfield has been a hero in the Resident Evil series, but his appearance in Resident Evil Village apparently involves him in sinister motives. A series of new opponents who inhabit the village will hunt Ethan relentlessly and hinder his every move as he tries to make sense of his new nightmare.
