PQube and Dual Effect have announced that the survival horror Tormented Souls will arrive physically and digitally on multiple platforms in 2021.

British publisher PQube and developer Dual Effect have announced that the survival horror Tormented Souls will arrive physically and digitally on multiple platforms in 2021.

To be more precise, it will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch. Only the PS5 and Switch versions will have physical releases.

When it was originally announced a while ago, it targeted the consoles of the old generation and, apparently, that has now changed.

The physical launch will come with an exclusive game item, the “Coin of the Sun and the Moon”.

Below you can get a bunch of images, a trailer (from the original reveal, so this is not new and is there for reference only) and an official description.

“Inspired by the classic survival horrors of Resident Evil to Silent Hill, Tormented Souls is a modern version of the fixed-perspective adventure. Attracted to the small town of Winterlake by fate (or perhaps something entirely more sinister), play Caroline as she struggles for her life, answers and an escape from the decrepit hell she finds herself in.

Featuring an improved control scheme and a more dynamic camera, Tormented Souls strives to maintain everything that has made classic survival horror titles so loved by fans, while harnessing the power and depth of the experience made possible by the latest generation hardware. “
