Resident Evil Getting a New Wave from TUBBZ Cosplay Ducks

Fans of Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise will soon have a lot of new collectible items to grab thanks to the next wave of Numskull Designs’ TUBBZ line. The first wave featured cosplaying ducks like Chris and Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine. With the franchise’s main heroes out of the way, Wave 2 will focus on a few other notable faces: Ada Wong, Nemesis, HUNK, Tofu and the Merchant of resident Evil 4. All five are available for pre-order now and are due for release in April. The new additions must be quite exciting for longtime fans of the video game series!

A trailer of the TUBBZ toys can be found in the Tweet embedded below.

In short, this looks like a really cool wave for TUBBZ dolls. It is a bit shocking to see such a cute view of a horrible destruction engine like Nemesis, but the line often features characters inspired by terror. Given the fact that Leon launched in the first wave, it only makes sense for your resident Evil 4 allies Ada Wong and the merchant to receive similar treatment. Perhaps the Ganado chainsaw could make the cut for wave 3! Of course, if anyone really deserves the duck cosplay treatment, it’s Albert Wesker. The villain has been plaguing STARS since the first entry into the franchise, and the line looks a little more empty without him.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, and Capcom is celebrating in many exciting ways. Fans have Resident Evil Village to wait in May, as well as the release of a new Resident Evil movie in theaters in September. The latest wave of TUBBZ Resident Evil figures is just one way that fans will be able to celebrate the survival horror series in 2021, but it looks like there will be many more before the end of the year!
