The following is a press release from the Eastern Idaho Public Health District.

IDAHO FALLS – On Monday, February 8, the Restriction Order for mandatory use of facial coverage was terminated in Bonneville County. In addition, Madison County was downgraded from high risk (red) to moderate risk (yellow). The Restriction Order for mandatory use of facial coverage is still in effect for Madison and Teton County.

Even with the suspension of the Order of Bonneville County and vaccinations underway in the health district, we are still not out of danger with regard to the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. We STRONGLY encourage you to get vaccinated when it is your turn, stay home when you are sick, wash your hands frequently, keep space (at least six feet) between people and, when you cannot distance yourself, wear a mask correct and consistent. Take personal responsibility for your health and make the best choices for you and your community.

There is still time to register on our COVID-19 vaccination appointment schedule list. We will be assigning vaccination schedules available at random to all individuals who are registered on the BEFORE list on Thursday, February 11, at 8 am. During the next 10 days, appointments will be made to individuals and we will call or send a message to inform them of your appointment, which may vary from February 15th to the end of March. In order for us to make all of these notifications, we ask that you DO NOT call our office before February 22 to verify your appointment. Thank you for your patience with this process.

If you sign up for the waiting list AFTER 11 February at 8 am, you will receive a call or text message from EIPH between 22 and 26 February to notify you of your scheduled appointment. If you are already on our list, there is nothing else you need to do right now. If you want to be on our list, visit our website or call (208) 533-3223 for help.
