Republican MP Lauren Boebert asks Biden to lower flags in honor of Rush Limbaugh

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado, called on President Biden on Friday night to order the flags to be lowered to half the frame in honor of the life of conservative radio legend Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh died on Wednesday at the age of 70 after battling lung cancer.

As previously reported by Fox News, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he plans to order the state flag to be flown at half-mast to honor Limbaugh.

DeSantis called him a friend. It is unclear when the flags will be lowered, as plans for Limbaugh’s funeral have yet to be announced.

The conservative radio show host lived in Palm Beach, Florida, for many years.

Limbaugh discovered he had stage four lung cancer in January 2020. President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s greatest civilian tribute, during his State of the Union address in 2020.

Limbaugh’s death was widely regretted by conservatives, although critics have highlighted his earlier comments that they claim to be fanatics.

Conservatives are asking Biden to lower the American flag in a show of political unity.
