Texan quarterback Deshaun Watson wants to be traded. Texans don’t want to negotiate it. Or even hear which teams would be willing to give up for him.
That’s the word from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, who reports that Texans are not willing to discuss Watson with any of the teams that have called to make exchange offers.
According to Pelissero, some teams left their exchange offers by voicemail, probably to the line of Texas general manager Nick Caserio. The Broncos, Panthers and Dolphins are among the teams that are supposed to be interested in trading for Watson.
It is unclear whether it is up to Caserio to decide whether the Texans will negotiate Watson, however. Texas owner Cal McNair has indicated that he will not negotiate with Watson.
Watson reiterated his desire to be traded in a conversation with new Texas coach David Culley.
