Report: Rainbow Six Quarantine renamed “Rainbow Six Parasite” as Image Surfaces

Announced in 2019, news from the Rainbow Six Quarantine didn’t really surface last year, unless it was mentioned that it was being postponed to the “first half of 2021” during Ubisoft’s quarterly earnings call.

Although Ubisoft remains silent about any new details, it appears that the publisher is moving forward with the game, as a file of it has been uploaded to PlayStation Network! This file numbers the game version as 1.01 and cites it as the “initial release patch”.

After researching further, we found what appears to be an image of the file belonging to the PS4 of the dash icon, boot and save data, and the mention of Rainbow Six Parasite, which could be the new Rainbow Six Quarantine title! Note that Ubisoft confirmed that it was considering a name change and moving away from “Quarantine” due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the images we obtained below.

The boot screen that PS4 players will see. In addition, the save data icon.

In addition, we were also able to get an image of the Remote Play feature using PlayStation Vita, where it is also called “Rainbow Six Parasite”. Unfortunately, there is no description of what each button does.

Here is the official description of the game when Ubisoft revealed it:

Rainbow Six Quarantine ™ by Tom Clancy is a 3-player squad-based survival FPS being developed by an entirely new team at Ubisoft Montreal.

Rainbow Six operators will face a mysterious threat that infects human hosts and their surroundings. Get ready to launch yourself into tense, chaotic and totally unpredictable missions as you and your team risk everything whenever quarantined.

If Parasite is indeed the final title, it is the one that fits and really does the trick of distancing yourself from COVID-19.

We will contact Ubisoft and update the post if we receive a response.
