Report: Raiders declining trade offers for Carr

While there are rumors that the Las Vegas Raiders may negotiate reserve quarterback Marcus Mariota, there is also talk of the possibility of Derek Carr being traded.

Carr’s brother, however, says the QB will not be negotiated. David Carr, who works for the NFL Network, said there was an interest in his brother, but the Raiders declined offers for him.

It is not clear what these offers were for Carr.

Raiders refusing offers for Carr can mean a few things. Either they are not interested in separating from their QB or they have not received an offer in which they would be interested. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, Carr is not available for trading, which means that even if the offers are reasonable, the Raiders do not want to give up.

The 29-year-old has been a staple in the Raiders ‘attack since he was called up in 2014. He launched for a career of 4,103 yards and 27 touchdowns during the 2020 season, but the Raiders’ inconsistencies ended up with the team ending in 8 – 8.
