We have seen some players obtain a franchise label for the second year in a row, but it doesn’t look like Patriots left guard Joe Thuney will be joining Washington Brandon Scherff guard, Broncos safety Justin Simmons and Giants striker Leonard Williams in that group.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots are not expected score Thuney again this off season. Doing so would put the Patriots in danger for more than $ 17.7 million and Trent Brown’s switch on Monday opens the door to move Isaiah Wynn to the left guard, given Brown’s experience in left tackling in New England.

Moving Wynn would depend on Thuney moving forward and that seems likely, since Thuney would be one of the main attackers available on the open market. He ranks 21st on the PFT list of all the best free agents this season.

The David Andrews Center is also in the process of becoming a free agency in New England.
