Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the offensive attack Nate Solder will return to the New York Giants in 2021.
THE #Giants and OT Nate Solder agreed, in principle, to a revamped deal to return to New York, the source said, while NYG hangs on the experienced tackle. Both sides are working on the final details, but the Solder is preventing any last-minute hiccups.

It was widely expected that some kind of move would be made in relation to Solder before the free agency started, and it appears that this move is a revamped contract.
The exact details of the revamped contract are not yet known, but Solder’s cut would have resulted in the Giants’ salary cap being set. Solder will have a dead money limit of $ 10.5 million in 2021 and $ 4 million in 2022, limiting his potential savings to just $ 6 million this year.
Solder first came to the Giants as a successful free agent in 2018, his four-year, $ 62 million contract making him the highest-paid offensive tackle in the NFL at the time. It did not live up to its high price and is credited for giving up 19 bags in 2018 and 2019 (according to The Washington Post). However, Solder is praised for his leadership off the field and bringing him back will maintain a veteran voice in an offensive line room that just lost Kevin Zeitler.
