The extremely shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers is about to go into court against the New Orleans Pelicans, without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
His new starting team is in for a surprise, as his starting pivot, Marc Gasol, still cannot play due to being placed in the NBA’s health and safety COVID-19 protocols.
Starting with the Lakers: Dennis Schroder, KCP, Kyle Kuzma, Markieff Morris and Devontae Cacok (first career start).

Devontae Cacok has a two-way contract with the Lakers and the South Bay Lakers of the G League. At 1.80 m, he is smaller in the pivot, but weighs 240 pounds.
He showed some potential as a rebound and someone who can use his physicality to his advantage.
After winning their first four games after the All-Star break, the Lakers have already lost consecutive games.
With the two superstars out for an unknown period of time, the team may well go into a prolonged fall and lose ground in the Western Conference standings, unless several players intensify things offensively.
