The family of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant reportedly asked NBA and league teams not to pay tribute on the one-year anniversary of Bryant’s death.
Bryant tragically died in a helicopter crash last year on January 26.
If you notice, the lack of official honors from organizations and the #NBA this week for Kobe Bryant, it’s because his family asked the teams not to pay tribute this year. @ kron4news

Bryant’s death shook the basketball world, but it seems that his family is still not comfortable with the fact that the championship honors him.
In addition to losing Bryant, his daughter Gianna was also in the accident with him.
While the Bryant family mourns its loss, it is good to see the league honor its wishes.
Elder Bryant was a five-time NBA champion with the Lakers and one of the greatest players in NBA history.
He has been an All-Star 18 times and is expected to be included in the Hall of Fame in 2021.
