AEW world champion Kenny Omega was furious after the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch main event at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. As noted, last night’s fight saw Omega retain his title over Jon Moxley. After the match, the 30-minute timer continued to count down until the total area of the ring exploded. Moxley was still in the ring, with Eddie Kingston covering him to potentially save him from the explosion. The timed explosion was expected to be a huge, grandiose explosion, but it was a failure. The lackluster explosion led to a significant amount of negative feedback on social media.
Omega was “furious” with the ending, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. No other details were provided, but Omega was not happy with how the ending came about.

It is really a shame that the ending was sloppy because now all people are going to talk about is the ending, even if it was a once-in-a-lifetime game. Kenny Omega x Jon Moxley delivered 🔥#AEWRevolution
