Report: iPhone 13 Offers 1TB Storage Option

Analysts at Wedbush said today that supply chain checks suggest that the next generation iPhone line, colloquially known as the iPhone 13, will feature a high-end 1 TB storage option for the first time. The current iPhone 12 reaches a maximum capacity of 512 GB.

Financial analysts remain optimistic that sales of Apple’s iPhone will remain strong throughout this year as part of the post-pandemic ‘reopening environment’ as releases of the COVID vaccine continue worldwide.

Front Page Tech previously reported that the next generation iPhone 13 line would feature a 1TB storage option in January.

With regard to iOS devices, Apple currently offers only 1 TB of storage on its next-generation iPad Pro tablets. In the context of the broader smartphone market, the iPhone has lagged behind here. For example, smartphone competitor Samsung started offering 1TB phones with the Galaxy S10 series almost two years ago.

The iPhone 13 line is expected to be launched this fall, although we still don’t know much about the device’s specifications. There have been persistent rumors about the return of Touch ID and screens with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, but nothing particularly concrete.

Until the launch of the iPhone 13 in the fall, Wedbush analysts remain optimistic about the sales performance of the iPhone 12 after Apple’s $ 110 billion quarter. The company estimates about 62 million iPhone 11 units for the March quarter and about 40 million for the June quarter. Analysts compare success to the record sales cycle of the iPhone 6 in 2014.
