Reports of quarterback Deshaun Watson’s unhappiness with the Texans hit the radar this week and led to speculation about whether Watson will push for a deal outside Houston.

This speculation is unlikely to end after a report ESPN’s Chris Mortensen on Sunday. Mortensen echoed other reports that Watson is upset that the team did not interview the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, for the position of chief coach.

Watson’s discontent with the organization did not lead to an exchange request at this point, but Mortensen reports that he could “play hard” with one if he wished. Watson has a no-trade clause in his contract and Mortensen reports that he would consider it a negotiation to send him to the Dolphins.

That exchange would likely include Tua Tagovailoa going to Houston along with other compensation. That compensation could include the choice of the first or second round that the Texans sent to Miami for Laremy Tunsil’s left attack, although everything remains nothing more than a hint until Watson says what he wants and how the Texans respond.
