Report: Call of Duty 2021 will be set in World War II, made by Sledgehammer

The Call of Duty series is reportedly going back to World War II in 2021. The next game in the franchise, this one developed by Call of Duty: World War II Studio Sledgehammer Games, is supposedly titled Call to action: Second World War Vanguard and will once again have ties with War zone, the free Call of Duty battle royale game released with Called modern armament war.

Call of Duty’s Modern Warzone website first reported on these details, many of which were later supported by Eurogamer. A contested detail is Call of Duty: World War II VanguardThe Modern Warzone timeframe indicated that it would take place in the 1950s, years after the end of World War II. Eurogamer reported that Vanguard it has a “traditional” scenario from the Second World War.

Sledgehammer Games developed in 2017 Call of Duty: World War II, the first Call of Duty game to be set primarily during that conflict since 2008 World at war. Sledgehammer founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey left the studio to form Striking Distance Studios in Krafton and 31st Union in 2K, respectively.

Activision publisher has not officially announced its entry into this year’s Call of Duty, except to say that it has “another strong premium release planned for the fourth quarter of 2021”.
