The Broncos are open to doing a great deal if they can update as a quarterback. But they don’t necessarily think that all the reputable quarterbacks available are updates from Drew Lock.

Specifically, Broncos are not interested in the Eagles’ quarterback, Carson Wentz, according to James Palmer of the NFL Network.

Palmer confirmed the report that the Broncos will chase Deshaun Watson if the Texans are willing to negotiate him, and noted that the Broncos were interested in Matthew Stafford before the Lions agreed to negotiate him with the Rams. Therefore, Lock’s work is not necessarily safe.

But it is only the top level of beginners that the Broncos see as a clear upgrade from Lock. Wentz is not at that level.
