Report: Braves acquires Orlando Arcia from Brewers Shortstop Bench Depth

The Braves reportedly acquired Milwaukee Brewers’ infielder Orlando Arcia.

Arcia, who has already been ranked among the best candidates in all of baseball, has been very disappointing with the board during his five seasons at the level of the major league, accumulating an OPS + career of only 72. He is, however, only 26 years old of age and proved his worth as a defender with 3.3 dWAR in his career according to the Baseball Reference.

The details of the negotiation have not yet been revealed, although Jon Heyman tweeted that Atlanta would send two pitchers to Milwaukee:

We will provide more updates as soon as the package destined for Brewers is confirmed, so stay tuned.

Update (13h40):

The Braves will send Patrick Weigel and Chad Sobotka to Milwaukee, according to Mark Bowman:

Both arms were on the 40-player roster for Braves, but they had fought hard in the major leagues. This move clears a spot when dealing with an area with sufficient depth in the farm system.
