A real Grammy nomination, Renée Zellweger, hopeful of the future EGOT, is ready to make her debut on the broadcast of the true-crime series The thing about Pam, NBC announced today. The program, based on a true story, focuses on the murder of Betsy Faria in 2011, which was featured in several popular NBC episodes. Dateline. The murder resulted in the conviction of Faria’s husband, Russ, which was later overturned as a result of the diabolical involvement of Faria’s friend, Pam Hupp (to be played by Zellweger).
