Remember Gavin Newsom’s organizer ‘confident’ move will end at the polls this summer

Remember Gavin Newsom 2020, a senior consultant at Randy Economy, says he feels “very confident” that the move against the California governor will go to the polls this summer.

“I think we are on target. We are ecstatic,” Economy told Fox & Friends on Sunday. “In fact, we collected more than 1,720,000 signatures, this is the gross total we got yesterday, in fact, it takes a little bit of time to go through the process of having the 58 different counting voters register to check the signatures and then the last to count them is the Secretary of State, but I feel very confident that we’ll put that up for the vote this summer. “

According to Economy magazine, the effort is supported by “all walks of life”, including 300,000 Democrats who have already signed the petition, as well as Republicans and independents.

“When he closed the world’s fifth largest economy and opened the prisons and released the prisoners and locked us up, 45 million of us, it became a real problem and we realized that we were in for something very special here,” Economy said.

He explained that the recall really gained momentum after Newsom’s trip to the French Laundry last year, where he appeared to violate state restrictions on coronavirus.

“It is the hypocrisy of who he is as a man, and it is the failed leadership as governor, and we have succeeded,” added Economy. “And that’s why we reached all the lines, all the demographics, all the genders and now it’s just a California thing.”

According to the most recent report from the California Secretary of State’s office, 668,202 of the recall effort signatures, or 83.7%, were validated on February 5. The recall had a total of 1,094,457 signatures on February 5.

“Every vote counts, every petition counts, every signature counts,” said Economy. “We have about 225,000 volunteers working in each county, each community, each district. It is a very sophisticated volunteer organization, something we have never seen in politics before, and we continue to grow every day. So our job is to make sure the county registrars are accountable, all 58 of them, and then we make sure that after that everything goes to the secretary of state. ”

The movement’s organizers have until March 17 to obtain an additional 400,000 signatures in order to place the measure in the polls.
