Remastered Xbox 360 ‘GoldenEye 007’ can now be played on PC

Rare GoldenEye 007 for the N64 it needs no introduction, and it is now possible to revisit the game in a more modern way. This week, a ROM from an Xbox 360 game remaster canceled in 2007 appeared online, allowing those with a PC to play it using an emulator. According VGC (by Polygon), the leaked ROM includes the entire campaign for a single player in the game, as well as its multiplayer component. It also allows players to seamlessly switch between the remastered textures and enhanced effects and the original N64 block graphics.

ROM made its way online shortly after a YouTube channel called Graslu00 uploaded a two-hour video about the remastering. We’ve seen fragments of the game over the years, since the news of its existence was first released in 2008, but that video has been our best look so far. As close as we come to a suitable GoldenEye 007 The relaunch since then was the remake of the 2010 Activision game, which replaced Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig – so, you know, it’s not exactly a faithful recreation of the original.
