Release date, new map and new modes

The mid-season update Black Ops Cold War will be available soon, featuring a lot of new content for players to enjoy.

Treyarch has finally announced the release date for the big update in the middle of Season 1 and it will arrive sooner than players thought.

The update will include new content, including a new map and new game modes. However, they didn’t mention anything about how to fix the Cold War’s biggest problem, which spoils the game for many players.

New Fireteam Map: Sanatorium

The mid-season update of the Cold War will bring players to the new Sanatorium Map. Situated in the Ural Mountains, there is every chance that this could be part of the new War Zone map for a long time.

Centered around a huge brutalist sanatorium, the map will also feature a lake and a dock. Players will also be able to use the new Tactical Raft vehicle to cross the lake and cross the map quickly.

Cold War Black Ops Mid Season Update

New 6v6 multiplayer mode: Dropkick

Dropkick is a high-risk fight for a superpowered suitcase containing nuclear launch codes. After running to get the suitcase, teams will have to protect the carrier to earn points.

The transporter is also equipped with a mega-powerful pistol to fight enemies who try to steal your briefcase. The first team at 200 points drops a nuclear bomb to win the game.

This exciting new mode should make players eager for the mid-season update to the Cold War.

New Cold War zombie mode: triggered

Cranked is even more frantic than your normal Zombies game. Players will need to kill undead constantly to prevent the countdown clock from reaching zero.

If time runs out, the game ends with the player’s explosion. The mode also has a special Cranked power-up that will give players a necessary break.

Players are hoping that sniper rifles will be increased by zombies before Cranked goes live in the first season’s mid-season update.

Cold War season 1 middle update release date

Treyarch announced in its new patch notes that the update will be released on January 14th.

This will be a complete update that players will have to download, rather than one of the small hotfixes that are updated when the game is released.

A new playlist update is also live on Black Ops Cold War, featuring exciting new game modes. Don’t worry, Nuketown will stay for now.

Recently, there has been a lot of controversy with the weapons of the Cold War and the War Zone. This Blueprint increases damage and has better recoil than the base weapon – are Blueprints paid to win?

Although it was not announced in the mid-season update, it looks like the Cold War will receive a Riot Shield soon.
