MTG Arena will arrive on the phone for the first time, being launched on the Google Play Store as an “early access” scheme. This one will be released at the same time as Kaldheim – on January 28, 2021!
Some key points:
- Release date of: Android Google Play Store on January 28, 2021, after maintenance at MTG Arena when the Kaldheim patch is released.
- Multiplatform support: Individual client settings on PC and phone (such as Avatar and Pet) may differ between devices, but all progress is saved to the account. Only one account can be connected at a time.
- iOS: Coming “later this year”.
- Specifications: The early access application will require more “high end” phones over the past two years or more. The goal is to reduce specs when the game is fully released on the phone. For this initial run, the assistants aim for 30 FPS and an hour of minimum play time without problems. That said, you can risk it by directly downloading the APK of the app, even if your device does not offer official support for it and try it out.

As predicted, MTG Arena it will soon be available in the palm of your hand starting with early access for Android on January 28, with additional Android devices and iOS support coming later this year.
The app will be accessible to players whose mobile devices meet planned Android specifications, anywhere MTG Arena and the Google Play Store are currently available. Our early access to Android will include multiplatform support and all cards and formats available at MTG Arena, including the next release of Kaldheim.
We want fans to have fun and enjoyable experiences with the long-awaited mobile version of Magic, and we want to make sure that our releases are polished and ready to play. Stay tuned for more information later this month in our January game state.
