Registration for COVID-19 vaccination consultations at Ford Field is now open

DETROIT (WXYZ) – The public can now register to schedule a COVID-19 vaccination at Detroit’s Ford Field. The vaccination clinic officially opens on March 24.

Authorities say that after people register, they will receive a voice or text message notifying them when to make an appointment. Consultations will be scheduled a few days before the clinic opens.

“The Ford Field community vaccination site is proof of what we can do when we work together,” said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. “I am grateful for President Biden’s leadership and for the partnership with Detroit Lions, Meijer, Wayne County, the city of Detroit and our federal partners in FEMA. We will continue to accelerate our distribution of equitable vaccines and, with the addition of the Ford Field community site, we are taking a significant step back to normal as we continue to rebuild our economy. “

The Ford Field vaccination clinic will be open from 8 am to 8:30 pm, seven days a week. It will remain open for a total of eight weeks, according to the federal government’s pilot vaccination program.
