Emmy winner watchmakers lead and One night in Miami director Regina King will do it Saturday Night Live opens tonight and will bring love before Valentine’s Day.
SNL abandoned promos for the newest episode, with King, musical guest Nathaniel Rateliff and cast member Beck Bennett. In the first promotion, the three reflect on why February in New York is “the most magical time of the year”.
“The wind, the cold, the melting snow,” lists King.
“The sun sets at 4:30 am,” adds Rateliff.
“NBA regular season games,” continues Bennett, until King says that listing the positivity that is missing amid the coronavirus pandemic “is not working.”
“Yes, the power of positive thinking, my ass,” says Bennett.
The second and brief promotion focused more on Valentine’s Day with Bennett kicking off the teaser asking King to be her boyfriend. When the Golden Globe nominee replies, “Of course I will,” Bennet realizes he has made a mistake. While it may seem that he asked the Oscar-winning actress for a date, the question was actually addressed to his wife, to whom he is calling via a hidden air pod.
“Wait, are you serious?”, He asks King, before hanging up on his wife. “Uh baby, sorry. He found someone else. I have to go.”
