According to the Oklahoma Road Safety office, 21-year-olds Caleb Drummond and 52 years old Ladd Drummond they were driving separate vehicles when they collided head-on due to strong winds in the grass and gravel. Caleb was ejected from his truck approximately 21 meters from the resting point. He was transported to a local hospital and was admitted in critical condition with injuries to the head, inner torso, arm and leg.
The Pawhuska Fire Department also confirms to E! News that Caleb was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Ladd was examined by professionals, but he refused treatment on the spot.
According to Osage County Emergency Management, which spoke to the local news agency on the 6th, each vehicle had only one firefighter and they collided on the driver’s side of each truck. The two firefighters are employees of the farm.
AND! The news reached Ree’s team for comment. In a previous blog post, the Pioneer woman star reflected on her nephew reaching an important milestone at school.
“Caleb, my nephew, graduated on Friday night! It was surreal; he is not old enough to graduate from high school,” Ree wrote in May 2018. “And then we did it again the next day to [our daughter] Paige! “
