A week ago Ree Drummond I won’t forget anytime soon.
On Wednesday, March 10, the Food Network star received a call from a family member that no one wants to hear. Turns out that her husband Ladd Drummond and nephew Caleb Drummond were involved in an accident on the family farm.
According to authorities, the pair drove in separate fire engines when their trucks collided due to strong winds in the grass and gravel.
In a new blog post entitled “Lar Doce Lar (e So Grato)”, Ree opened up about the accident and the fear he felt after learning that two members of his family were injured.
“Ladd was rigid, but was able to walk immediately after the accident, so he refused medical attention. Partly because he wanted the paramedics to focus on Caleb, partly because he was still a little stunned by the accident and partly because cowboys don’t like to admit when they’re hurt, “she wrote in a post. “After Caleb’s ambulance left, Ladd drove alone to the hospital in Pawhuska, thinking he would just be examined silently.
