Ree Drummond, better known as “The Pioneer Woman”, made a statement about the terrible accident that injured her husband, Ladd, and his nephew, Caleb.
“I want to thank everyone for their prayers for our family,” the Food Network star told fans on Facebook. “Caleb and Ladd are in the hospital, but we think they will both be fine. As a family, we are thanking you today, knowing that things could have been much worse. Thank you all for your love and kindness. It means a lot.”

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for our family. Caleb and Ladd are in the hospital, but we think the two …
The two were driving separate fire trucks near the family farm outside Pawhuska, Oklahoma, when they crashed head-on on Wednesday around 1:43 pm. They ran to put out a fire, but strong winds on a gravel road made it difficult for them to see. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
Caleb, 21, was immediately taken to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to a report by the Oklahoma Department of Public Security obtained by People. He was described as being in a “critical condition” with multiple injuries, including on the head, leg and arm. Caleb, who is close to his aunt, was ejected about 21 meters from his vehicle.
Meanwhile, Ladd, 52, who regularly appears on his wife’s program, declined treatment on the spot. Tulsa’s Fox 23 reported that he was later taken for treatment by helicopter.
Drummond and her husband, who married in 1996, have five children in their teens and 20s. In September, she wished him a happy birthday with a return to the wedding day.
Earlier this month, she showed fans what it is like to film during the pandemic.
