CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Warming up this weekend with a mixture of sun and clouds. The morning temperatures of each day will be around 50 and 60 degrees, maximum in the afternoon, below 80 degrees. The beaches will remain considerably cooler due to the cold water temperatures in the 1950s. There is potential for sea fog to change on Saturday afternoon to Sunday. If it develops, visibility will decrease rapidly along the coast. The record at Charleston International Airport on Saturday is 84 degrees in 1962, and Sunday at 86 degrees in 1962. Keep warm on Monday with highs from mid to 70 degrees. However, the chances of rain increase on Monday as a front approaches the area later in the day. Colder behind the front on Tuesday, with highs only in the mid-1950s, with a chance of some intermittent downpours. The front could stagnate south of Lowcountry for the rest of next week, which could keep the chances of rain high.
