“I like to think that it looked good in all sizes and things and I was always very confident. So it wasn’t like I wasn’t confident and now I’m, like, overconfident, ”explained Rebel. “I think what’s really interesting to me is how other people treat you. Sometimes, being older, people don’t necessarily look at you twice or whatever.”
“And now that I’m in good shape, people offer to carry my purchases to the car and keep the doors open for you,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Is this what other people experience all the time?'”
“This has been really interesting for me,” added Rebel. “Furthermore, I find it interesting that people pay so much attention to enjoying a transformation to lose weight when there is so much going on in the world.”
Meanwhile, Rebel has been keeping fans updated on her progress throughout her journey to health, sharing photos and clips showing her new figure.
“You can say that I post, like, a lot of my photos on Instagram. I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, loving me,'” she said, joking that maybe she “should calm down a little bit about it.”

In late November, the “Bridesmaids” actress – who considered 2020 her “year of health” – booked another stay at VivaMayr, a luxury medical and wellness detox resort in Austria, hoping to reach her weight ideal 75 kg, or about 165 pounds. Rebel had already stayed at the resort – where she was first introduced to the food plan that follows – a year earlier.
“I came back because 2021 is going to be an extremely busy year with project after project, so I wanted to go back to VivaMayr,” Rebel told People at the time, adding that she hopes her trip will help “boost my immune system and lose my two last kilos. “
Appearing on “The Drew Barrymore Show” earlier that month, Rebel reflected on her health journey, noting that she made her health a focal point after turning 40 last March.
“I never really focused on my health, which was probably obvious,” she shared. “I was traveling all over the world, flapping everywhere and eating a ton of sugar that was my addiction. I have a thing for sweets, I love desserts. I tried, like so many women out there, fads and diets and things before and I need to take a really holistic approach this time. “
“I think what I suffered the most from was emotional ingestion and dealing with the stress of becoming internationally famous,” she continued. “There is a lot of stress that comes with this and I think my way of dealing with it was like eating donuts. So I was working on the mental side of things about why I was doing this and why I was not valuing myself and having better self-esteem. “
