Rebel Wilson says she was “abducted” by armed hand in Mozambique

Cats Star Rebel Wilson said she was abducted while on vacation in Mozambique.

The actress, appearing on the new Sky One show Straight Talking, detailed being detained overnight in a “house in the middle of nowhere” by armed men in a rural part of the country, when asked about the most dire situation she had ever faced.

“There was a time in Africa when I was kidnapped,” Wilson told program host Ant Middleton, explaining how she was traveling with a group of women when gunmen told them to leave the vehicle. “It was in rural Mozambique.”

“We were in this cattle truck and these men came in another truck with many weapons. [They pulled up] with big guns and they said, ‘Yes, you have to get off your truck.’ “

Wilson then explained that she and the other women were taken “to a house in the middle of nowhere” and stayed there until the next morning.

She continued: “Fortunately we were not injured and then, the next day, they came and said, ‘Your truck is ready now. You can go.’ We didn’t ask any questions. We just got in the truck, got out and crossed the South African border a few hours later. “

Wilson called herself the “team leader” among the other women and said she believed the men used the cattle truck “to smuggle illegal things.” She added: “I feel very good in the crisis”.

Elsewhere, Rebel Wilson said last year that he received “a lot of money to get bigger” for roles in Hollywood.

Ant Middleton and Rebel Wilson: Straight Talking will air on January 14 at 9 pm on Sky One and NOW TV.
