Raya and the Last Dragon look like a fantastic Ocean’s Eleven in the last trailer

Disney released the second trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon, giving the best view so far for the next animated fantasy film, which is due to hit theaters and the Disney Plus Premier Access program on March 5.

The new trailer shows Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran) joining a team of warriors and swindlers (including a surprisingly agile baby) to join her in a quest to find the titular “last dragon”, which the legends promise to save her people . But, as the trailer reveals, the mythical dragon, Sisu (voiced by Awkwafina) ends up being, in his own words “that boy [in a group project] who doesn’t contribute as much, but still ends up with the same note. ”

In addition, the film looks absolutely stunning, as Disney Animation once again makes the change to show how good it was at creating these CGI wonders.

It’s a good thing that Raya it looks like a fun movie too, as it’s one of the only big new movies that’s likely to be released in the first half of 2021. Another wave of delays has seen movies like No time to die, Unknown, Ghostbusters: life after death, The king’s man, Edgar Wright’s Night spent in Soho, Cinderellaplus all travel dates until the end of 2021 and beyond. Other important films, like Disney’s Black Widow and Universal F9, will probably also move, leaving only streaming experiments like Raya and Warner Bros. ‘HBO Max’s approach as the main source of new films for the coming months.

It also means that the film – just the second that Disney will launch through the Disney Plus Premier Access program, which will allow subscribers to pay a premium to watch the film simultaneously with its release in theaters – will be an important test for Disney, following a similar strategy for live action Mulan last year. Disney has not yet said how much it will cost Disney Plus subscribers to purchase Raya and the Last Dragon, but when it was released Mulan as Premier Access, he charged $ 30.
