Ray Fisher says he will not work with DC Films President Walter Hamada again

Justice League star Ray Fisher said he will no longer participate in any production associated with DC Films president Walter Hamada. As reported by Variety, Fisher’s response comes after WarnerMedia’s investigation into Fisher’s allegations of a toxic and hostile work environment under Joss Whedon, the director of the 2017 Justice League remakes.“Walter Hamada is the most dangerous type of facilitator,” Fisher tweeted. “His lies, and the success of the failed WB PR on September 4, sought to undermine the real issues of the ‘Justice League’ investigation. I will not participate in any production associated with it ”.

Fisher also included Hamada’s interview with the New York Times in his tweet, where he discussed the future of DC films and how the Snyder Cut of the Justice League is “a dead end for storytelling” with no connection to the next DC projects, and that Snyder “is not currently involved in the future of the studio.”

WarnerMedia recently confirmed that the Justice League investigation has been completed and that “corrective action” has been taken in relation to Ray Fisher’s allegations. WarnerMedia’s third-party investigation began in August after Fisher’s allegations of Whedon’s toxic set and how former DC Films co-presidents Geoff Johns and Jon Berg made the behavior possible.

Fisher had also previously stated that Hamada pressured him to “give in to Geoff Johns”.

The “failed September 4 hit-hit” Fisher was referring to was WarnerMedia’s response to the allegations, the denial of Fisher’s claims about Hamada and the statement that Fisher had refused to meet with his outsourced investigator to discuss the case.

Ray Fisher filmed additional scenes for The Snyder Cut and said he remade almost all of his scenes when Joss Whedon took over, saying that only a single scene of his from the original version of Snyder made it to theaters.
