Octavius Johnson, famous for his work on “Ray Donovan”, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon … after police said he threw a fire extinguisher at a corridor.
Police sources tell TMZ … police in Burbank responded to a call that a man had thrown a fire extinguisher in a corridor when they found Octavius, which the police say fit the suspect’s description. We were told that the police tried to stop him, but he refused to obey and led the police on a short chase on foot.
The police caught Octavius and arrested him after the alleged victim identified him as the culprit. We are told that the police have recovered a fire extinguisher, and Octavius has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and resistance to arrest.
Octavius reportedly continued his fury inside a cell holding the Burbank Police Department … we were told that he vandalized the phone inside the cell phone, violently hitting the phone case with the portable receiver.
Our sources say the assault case was brought to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, but the prosecutor referred the case to the Burbank City Attorney’s Office, which rejected the case due to insufficient evidence and an uncooperative witness.
We have been informed that the Burbank city attorney will now review the allegation of vandalism for possible misdemeanor charges.
Octavius’s manager, Danny Estradasays TMZ … “Octavius has been dealing with mental health problems and is currently getting the help he needs.”
