Ravens hire 11 players for future bookings / deals, resign four veterans

The Ravens hired 11 players for future bookings / deals on Monday, giving them a chance to work with the team this off-season.

  • LB Aaron Adeoye
  • DT Aaron Crawford
  • DT Braxton Hoyett
  • QB Tyler Huntley
  • WR Jaylon Moore
  • LS Nick Moore
  • Chauncey Rivers
  • DB Nigel Warrior
  • DB Chris Westry
  • RB Ty’Son Williams
  • TE Eli Wolf

Many of the players are untrained novices, including Huntley, who played a big role at the end of the season as a reserve for Lamar Jackson.

Huntley was in action in three games, including playing the fourth quarter of the Ravens’ playoff defeat in Buffalo. Especially due to the difficult circumstances, Huntley performed very well, going from 6 from 13 to 60 yards and running three times for 32 yards.

Adeoye and Rivers are young players that the Ravens would like to prepare with as many unknowns as outside defenders this season. Matthew Judon, Yannick Ngakoue, Tyus Bowser and Pernell McPhee are all pending unrestricted free agents.

Adeoye, Crawford, Huntley, Jaylon Moore, Nick Moore, Rivers, Warrior, Williams and Wolf ended the season in the Ravens’ training squad. Hoyett also spent time on the Baltimore training team at the end of the season.

Westry is a 6ft-4 safety who left Kentucky in 2019 and has spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He spent his debut year on the reserve through injury and much of this season on the training team.

The Ravens also dismissed four veterans: quarterback Robert Griffin III, defender Davontae Harris, wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (COVID opt-out) and defender Tramon Williams. Harris was on the Reserve / Assigned to Return list and Griffin, who started this season when Lamar Jackson had COVID-19, was on the Reserve / Injured list.
