Rapper G Herbo and Taina Williams announced on New Year’s Day that they are expecting their first child together. The couple accessed their respective Instagram pages to share photos and a video of a pregnancy session, with Herbo writing, “I have to be one of God’s favorites because my life is getting better !! As long as my lessons bring more blessings, I will be in full swing. Happy New Year!”
Taina also shared a message in a video of the shoot. She wrote: “Sometimes it is worth hiding the best things in life for a greater sacrifice. Happiness is an understatement for the joy we feel and the light you have already [brought] about Us. God knows I prayed for you … ”
Adding: “The journey is never easy, but the story is always incredible to tell… that feeling is indescribable… you were made with so much love that no one will ever know the strength of my love for you… 2020 was difficult but you it gave hope for 2021. We love you and we can’t wait to meet you, my sweet baby. Happy New Year.”
G. Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, is currently awaiting trial in a federal fraud case. The musician and five members of his team are accused of using stolen identities to make fraudulent charges for extravagant services. During a hearing on December 9, Herbo pleaded not guilty via a videoconference to federal charges. His lawyer also revealed that his client’s fiancee, Taina Williams, was four months pregnant:
Wright’s lawyer, however, revealed during the 30-minute hearing that Wright’s fiancee, Taina Williams, is four months pregnant and asked him for permission to travel to New Jersey to visit her and her new baby. US magistrate judge Katherine Robertson responded to the request. Prosecutors also identified one of the witnesses in the case as an Atlanta woman with whom Wright shares a son from a previous relationship. Wright was ordered not to speak to her about the case.
The Atlanta woman in question is the mother of Herbo’s son, Ari Fletcher. The ex-couple has a son named Yosohn Wright together.
