Police say she was found three hours later, after being forced into the stranger’s car.

“At that time of day, someone saw something,” Sheriff Billy Woods said in a press release. “We need help (from the public) to seek justice for the victim and get this violent criminal off our streets.”

It happened after investigators said people close to the victim reported his disappearance that morning.

“She was supposed to be somewhere for a while, and she wasn’t. It was very unusual behavior on her part, which is why they were concerned ”, said the sergeant. Paul Bloom from the sheriff’s office.

Bloom said the victim was found hours later, thanks to a passerby who spotted the victim and called 911.

“It was located in a semi-conscious state on the side of the highway and luckily it will survive this attack,” said Bloom.

He said it is possible that there is more than one suspect in this case.

“Whoever has done this, we are going to bring them to justice. Let’s get them, ”said Bloom.

Detectives said they cannot release many details now, citing an active investigation, but are waiting for someone to see something and show up.

“If you have a video, maybe it’s a circular camera or something, go back and check it out. There may be something insignificant for you, but it can be very significant for our detectives, ”said Bloom.

Anyone with any information about this attack should call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 352-732-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 352-368-7867.
