Rams, wide receiver DeSean Jackson agrees to the terms of the one-year contract

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Los Angeles Rams announced today that it has agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

Jackson, 34, joins the Rams after spending the past two seasons in Philadelphia. In 2020, he recorded 14 receptions for 236 yards and a touchdown in five games, missing most of the season due to an ankle injury.

This will be Jackson’s second pass working with Rams head coach Sean McVay. The two paths crossed previously during Jackson’s three seasons in Washington in 2014-16, the same three years that McVay was his offensive coordinator. Jackson exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in two of those three seasons and posted 142 combined receptions for 2,702 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns during that period.

Three times as a Bowler, Jackson totaled 612 receptions for 10,656 yards and 56 touchdowns in 161 games in 13 NFL seasons. He was also born in Los Angeles and studied at Long Beach Polytechnic High School before moving to Cal to continue his university career.
