Rams fans prefer John Wolford to Jared Goff

The Los Angeles Rams took everything to the limit, with the fate of their playoff hanging in balance in the last week of the regular season. But they defeated a division opponent at Arizona Cardinals, to win a post-season spot and start a battle with another division opponent: the Seattle Seahawks.

But just because the Rams have arrived does not mean that everything is fine. With Jared Goff taking care of a dislocated thumb, the Rams turned to John Wolford, who had never played an NFL game. Wolford had an inspired performance and it was fun to see the Rams open up the race options in the manual to take advantage of their legs.

Do the Rams have a tough quarterback decision to make? Who knows. They may find it a very easy decision.

But what we do know is that you, the vocal fans, think that Wolford won a second start. According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey (which you should subscribe to, by the way), more than three quarters of Rams fans want Wolford to be below the center on Saturday.

There may be controversy in the quarterback, but fans are still optimistic about the team. Fan confidence more than doubled after the victory of Week 17, with 78% of Rams fans saying the team is going in the right direction, after only 36% thought so last week.

The Rams is part of an expanded playoff field this season and the NFL hopes to make a big splash with the six games this weekend. One of these games, between Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints, will be broadcast by Nickelodeon along with other more traditional display options.

This decision was clearly made in the hope of attracting a younger fan base. But the fan base in general is much less lively, as only 20% of fans said they would watch any Nickelodeon broadcast. Keeping the line with this, only about a third of NFL fans thought that expanding the broadcast to a children’s station was a smart idea.

The Rams game, on the other hand, can be found on Fox.

They arrived at week 18 – let’s see if they can make it to week 19.
