Rams coach Sean McVay doesn’t know if Jared Goff or John Wolford will start on Saturday

Just over a week after undergoing surgery to repair a broken and dislocated thumb, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff participated fully in training, while John Wolford’s stinger prevented him from training on Tuesday.

Still, coach Sean McVay told reporters on Tuesday he had no updates about who would be their starting defender when the sixth-placed Rams faced the top-ranked Packers in Green Bay on Saturday in the NFC Divisional Round.

Goff missed Rams’ last game of the regular season against the Cardinals due to a thumb injury. In Goff’s place, Wolford started and Rams won and secured the playoff spot.

At the Super Wild Card Weekend, the Rams defeated the Seahawks with Wolford starting and Goff replacing. Wolford was injured early in the game with what was determined to be a stinger. Goff, who admitted after the game that his thumb was still not 100%, ended the victory.

McVay did not announce a starter until the day of the game against the Seahawks and another long week of “what if” and no updates could happen.

As for prominent defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who is dealing with a rib cartilage injury and left the game against the Seahawks earlier, McVay said he hopes that Donald is ready to go against the Packers.

“Terminator will be ready to go,” said McVay of Donald, for Jourdan Rodrigue from AtlĂ©tico.
